10/22 – 2nd Presidential Debate Summary

Posted on October 23 2012 by admin2

Rather than breaking down the whole evening debate of domestic issues, which we neither have time to write nor you time to read, let’s just consider a summary.  Once again, the two Presidential seekers (and biased moderator) demonstrated their respective BT for all America to witness.   By-and-large, #15 FCIL Romney continued his orderly, prosecutorial ways while #13 FCIR Obama threw everything he had in his defense attorney arsenal.  Once again, it didn’t matter to the #13 whether many of his answers were relevant (or factual) or not, just that he could stop the deeply penetrating, never-ending and landing attacks by MR.  In addition, BO was rescued multiple times by CNN’s reporter and Dem supporter, Candy Crowley (#13 FCIR). Perhaps the most over-the-top intervention was when Mr. Obama was on the ropes and ready to collapse to the canvas, after MR had landed a powerful “Benghazi” uppercut, when referee Crowley unprofessionally jumped in, separating the two, allowing the weakened President to regain his composure and divert the fight elsewhere.

Mitt got Barack to state publicly that he had labeled the Benghazi incident as a “terror attack” at the inception of the conflict, when in fact it wasn’t until 2 weeks later that his Administration was forced to take this position after the State Department refuted the White House and their countless denials.  Adding to the distortion was Crowley’s attempt to agree with BO, causing the President to gleefully say, “Can you say that a little louder, Candy?”

Then, after BO had attacked MR on his financial holdings and offshore investments, MR tried to pin BO down by asking what was in his retirement accounts. As BO tried many distractions, including ‘you’ve got more money in yours than I do in mine.’ (Say what? How’s that for a red herring and irrelevant answer and excuse?), MR kept asking the same question, only to have CC bail out BO once again. Yet MR quietly reminded them both, and the world, that Mr. Obama had investments overseas, too, in such places as China, the Cayman islands, and elsewhere.  Why did President Obama try to skirt this issue when he brought it up to attack MR?

MR clearly won by his presentation by uttering a litany of known facts and sound logic, whereas BO won many of his points by offering data and info that basically have not been established—yet they were proclaimed by BO with passion and bravado.

Nonetheless, as many of us know, elections are often not won by the best candidate but by those who cater to special interests groups.  It’s also important to remember the words of African American economist, philosopher, and author, #13 Thomas Sowell, When you want to help people you tell them the truth. When you want to help yourself, you tell them what they want to hear.”

As BTI helps the world finally get a grasp on the causes of inborn human behavior, for easiest understanding we like to simplify matters to their lowest common denominator.  Delineating the vast differences between the #13 (Obama, Biden) and #15’s (Romney, Ryan) BT has helped many to make great sense of the candidates in the Presidential and VP debates.  It explains precisely why they have performed as they have (along with their ‘nurtured’ backgrounds).  Yet there’s one more level of understanding we’d like to pass along, adding another key insight into these posturing politicians.  For those who have carefully watched the debates, and without bias, they have particularly noticed the many great distortions or outright lying perpetrated by a couple of the candidates in particular.

You may have noticed that answers are often made up right on the spot—in front of the whole viewing world!  Getting the facts right may be of little to no concern.  These kinds of politicians figure if they can fool the viewers that night, the vast majority (and biased media) will not fact check them later.  Yet when their political distortions are finally uncovered, only a minority will care to weigh the gravity of such deceptions.  Yet besides the unethical nature of the lying or deceiving politician, is there anything else at play that causes them to fabricate?  There sure is.

Particularly for men, the latest neurological research demonstrates the Left hemisphere is context-dependent whereas the Right lobe is contextually -independent.  For those fuzzy on the definition of context, it is “the part of a text or statement that surrounds a particular word or passage and determines its meaning.” Thus, when context is omitted, or distorted, truth can never be promoted or identified. Correct?

Let’s take an example: in this past presidential debate, when challenged on his Administration’s denial of a Benghazi “terrorist attack” for 2 weeks, President Obama said he had identified the incident as such, as did moderator Crowley who sought to rescue him from his numerous evening troubles. Well, what the transcript proved the following day (of the past Rose Garden speech to which BO was referring), was that his assertion the debate night was not fact, that it was seriously distorted, out of context, ‘context-independent,’ likely Right brain inspired.  In the Rose Garden, the President had said “terrorist act” of the Benghazi matter as a generalization, not a specific, and over the following two weeks, that it was caused instead by a Youtube video, a “spontaneous” act—and “not a result of a planned terrorist attack.” The President and his handlers had every spokesperson for his Administration chiming this mantra (“not a result of a planned terrorist attack,” but instead an evil Youtube video) nearly every day in the media following the attack. Yet they had known otherwise within 24 hours of the initial attack!  These people included our U.N. Rep. Rice, Press Secretary Carney, VP Biden, et al.  Most egregious was the President himself, who in his major address to the U.N. a week after the attack, continued to promote this untrue propaganda, knowing full well it was a major falsehood. (The following week he continued the fabrication on The View, Letterman’s show, and others.)

Why wouldn’t the Administration want to identify the Benghazi debacle as a terrorist attack?  Hopefully, none is so naive as to know not why, considering the election date is now only a few weeks away.  BO’s been touting that Al Qaeda is on the run, practically eliminated, Bin Laden is dead, and yet we’re now seeing around the Islamic world that hatred and uprisings are greater than ever toward American “infidels”. Since the President took Office, he has admonished his Administration not to identify Islamic extremism as such, including their acts of terror even on American soil.  It’s not just one, many forces are at play for BO’s media suppression of Islamic terrorism to the U.S. public.

So back to the Right brain and its context-independent ways (and please remember we are speaking of the Right brain independently).  Eliminating context from data or conversation makes everything relative; it also allows one to take any information or fact and create a whole new meaning to it.  That’s great in Hollywood and for unethical lawyers, but it’s not for attaining and maintaining an upright society with absolute standards and guidelines.  Communism has demonstrated this for all the world to view in recent decades.  One would hope that this should scare us all to ensure an honest government and society.

The Right brain especially must be balanced with ethical, moral standards. If not, it will be very in-exacting, morphing whatever it perceives to gain an advantage.   Of course Left brain dominant persons can also be great deceivers too, liars par excellence.  Since all people use both hemispheres, with women anatomically better at coordinating the two, men who most use the Right brain will have the greatest tendency to embellish or fabricate issues.  Yet regardless of hemisphere dominance, all of us desperately need to reestablish our ethical, moral parameters daily.  If not, we’ll quickly set new, oft-unconscious boundaries that in effect make us little gods. A form of megalomania is only steps away.  It’s one thing for small-town Joe to become this way, but it’s another when leaders of the world, especially in America, abuse this matter.  May God mollify his judgment on America for our repugnant tolerance of dishonesty, whether from Republican or Democrat, and may tonight’s third debate be even more revealing of truth versus deliberate deception.  Perhaps voters will finally realize how destructive dishonesty is and how integrity must be foremost—beyond economics, foreign policy, etc.,–for without it, our freedoms will soon be lost.
