Wow, how was that for some political drama? Last week finally ended the long impeachment fiasco against President Donald J. Trump in an acquittal that has been labeled “a political triumph for the White House.” What’s perhaps most interesting were the key players involved, primarily #15 FCILs.
Of course, the impeachment was led by #15 FCIL Nancy Pelosi, who has not been good friends with fellow #15 Donald Trump since his first day in office. Did you catch Donald’s State of the Union Address? What Nancy did afterwards has gone viral. Taking Trump’s speech, she ripped it into shreds for all the world to see! Can you imagine if #15 FCIL Paul Ryan had done the same with a Barack Obama (#13 FCIR) State of the Union speech? It wouldn’t have been pretty for Ryan, who likely would have labeled a racist, and much more.
At any rate, also during the President’s address one notable man was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.“Rush Limbaugh,” said Trump. “Thank you for your decades of tireless devotion to our country. Rush, in recognition of all that you have done for our nation, the millions of people a day that you speak to and inspire, and all of the incredible work that you have done for charity, I am proud to announce tonight that you will be receiving our country’s highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.” A stunned Limbaugh, another #15 FCIL, sat speechless with mouth agape, as he stood and received the medal from Melania Trump (#13 FCIR). Limbaugh is currently battling lung cancer.
Now back to the impeachment. When the vote came, the Senate voted along party lines, save for one man. Did you see who it was? Yes, Mr. Mitt Romney, yet another #15 FCIL. “This has been the most difficult decision I have ever had to make in my life,” stated Mitt. If we take a brief look at their history, however, we see these men have been both the best of friends and the worst of enemies. Romney once praised Trump’s “extraordinary ability to understand how our economy works” and for being “one of the few who has stood up to say China is cheating” on trade. Various spats then followed between them over the next few years, with Trump calling Mitt “dumb” and Mitt calling Donald “a phony and a fraud.” But then, when Trump became President, Romney dined with him as a potential Secretary of State, with the former governor saying he and Trump had a “wonderful evening.” It was not to be, however, as Donald instead decided to go with Rex Tillerson. In the end, we do not know Romney’s true motives or intent, but to be the only republican senator to vote against Trump? Well, to the casual layman, such seems to be a bit more than sheer coincidence. And a few days ago, media sources report Romney is a top 20 recipient of funding by George Soros’ Lobbyist Group. It’s no secret that Mr. Soros is no fan of Trump (or America’s Constitution).
Now the battle-lines seem to be drawn as the democratic primaries are in full swing. While Pete Buttigieg (#13 FCIR) won Iowa, Bernie Sanders (#13 FCIR) narrowly captured New Hampshire recently. Former front-runner Joe Biden (#13 FCIR) is now in serious trouble (with no help from Mr. Obama,), and with Donald now at a 49% approval rating, a growing economy and having just come off an impeachment victory, even his toughest critics are saying another 4 more years in the White House is on the horizon. We can only imagine how #15 Hillary is feeling these days!
Oh, and we can only imagine what #15 FCIL Michelle Obama may be cooking up in her political kitchen as well. To be continued …
