There’s a rare would-be politician who is on the up-and-up! He is looking to unseat Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock of Georgia in the 2022 midterm elections, and this pied piper is doing some serious fundraising, Herschel Walker, former NFL running back and college Heisman Trophy winner, announced just a few days ago that his campaign has pulled in roughly 3.7 million dollars from August through September. A #9 FCAR, Walker says he is “overwhelmed by the support”. It was only a short time ago that Walker was encouraged “for months” by former #15 FCIL President Donald Trump to run for office in the Peach State. Now, polls show Walker is holding a wide lead against his Republican rivals.
Of course, Georgia was under the spotlight last year when Democrats narrowly won the twin Senate runoff elections, but now they are playing defense as Republicans are up in the polls both in Georgia and several other states. The dig against Walker is that he is untested, and as a #9, his Brain Type is also widely untested when it comes to the political arena. While the FCAR definitely loves to lead crowds in “rah rah” fashion towards a common goal, the constant decision-making, verbal wrangling, and outright ruthlessness of politics usually causes them to look elsewhere to lead a crowd. No doubt #15 Trump was some needed inspiration for Herschel, helping him realize the cause might well be worth the cost. To be sure, #9s need encouragement to believe in themselves, but when they do, anything in the world seems possible to them. Walker once stated, “When I feel good about myself, things start happening for myself. When you look up, you go up.”
Good luck, Herschel!
