We couldn’t pass this news up.  It was only too Brain Type apropos.

Singer and actress Marie Osmond shocked the world recently when she announced she wouldn’t be leaving her children an inheritance.  In her own frank words, “Honestly, why would you enable your child to not try to be something? I don’t know anybody who becomes anything if they’re just handed money.”  And again, “I just think all [an inheritance] does is breed laziness and entitlement. I worked hard and I’m gonna spend it all and have fun with my husband.”

Yikes!  Not something one says (or admits) everyday!  So, BT enthusiasts, which of the 16 inborn designs would be more prone to enforce a “work hard” and “earn first” mentality to their kids?  If you guessed an Inanimate, Left brainer, you’d be right!  Marie Osmond is a #15 FCIL.  Anyone familiar with Niednagel’s books and materials may well remember the old drawings of a Right brainer dropping his mower to go fishing.  In contrast, the Left brainer is shown staying behind, telling his friends he has to get his work done first.  Not only do ‘L‘s often live this way themselves, but they also require those around them to live similarly!  Marie Osmond is indeed an extreme case for that!

At any rate, there is some truth in what Osmond says when she went on to quote, “You see it a lot in rich families where the kids don’t know what to do so they get in trouble, so I just let them be proud of what they make and I’m going to give mine to my charity.”

Interestingly, actress Allison Williams, the daughter of another famous #15 FCIL, former NBC journalist Brian Williams, recently admitted her famous father gave her an advantage in Hollywood, going on to say, “To not acknowledge that me getting started as an actress versus someone with zero connections isn’t the same — it’s ludicrous.”  Although we don’t know what steps Mr. Williams took to help his daughter make it in the industry, #15 men tend to live life a bit more care-free than women, which can mean more overall generosity.

We’ll let our readers know if a positive response comes from Osmond’s children and grandchildren!
