So a few weeks ago Netflix premiered the “Tom Brady Roast,” where former players and current celebrities basically got together for a night to joke about Tom Brady (#9 FCAR) without going “too” far over the line.  Of course, it was a money-making stint, particularly for Netflix, and financially did quite well (despite it being grossly critiqued by a number of reviewers)

At any rate, the most difficult person it took organizers to get to show up was said to be former coach Bill Belichick (#15 FCIL), go figure.  Quarterback Drew Bledsoe (#11 FCAL) also was there, cracking a few one-liners that he swore no one pre-screened, not even Brady.  Another #15 FCIL attended the event, Kim Kardashian, who was actually met with a decent amount of boos from the crowd that Netflix chose to edit  largely out.  After Kim, Brady himself took the stage a moment later, dropping a joke about Kardashian’s former husband, Kanye West, stating, “I know Kim was terrified to be here tonight. Not because of this but because her kids are at home with their dad.”  The irony, of course, is that Brady and West (not to mention Bledsoe!) share the same #9 design (though background, brain health, and other genetic factors make them all unique!).

Then there was the extremely awkward moment when comedian Jeff Ross (#13 FCIR) took on the Robert Kraft controversy, and Brady was not being too pleased.  “Tom became a Patriot,” Ross joked, “moved up to New England, and on the first day of training camp, that scrawny rookie famously walked into the owner Robert Kraft’s office and said ‘I’m the best decision your organization has ever made’.”  Then Ross quipped, “Would you like a massage?” while blowing a kiss to Kraft, who was in the audience.  Brady got out of his seat and reportedly whispered in Ross’ ear, ““Don’t say that s**t again.”  Kraft was charged with soliciting prostitution in February 2019 after a multi-county investigation into massage parlors in Florida.  Though they had surveillance footage proving his guilt, it couldn’t be used as evidence, and Kraft was never convicted.  A little too much unpleasant reality for #9 Brady!
