We didn’t want to leave the Olympics without celebrating a certain athlete.  Of course, we had our eyes on #1 FEAR Gabby Thomas since the Olympics started, and she didn’t disappoint the world in the women’s 200 meter.  Coming from behind, Gabby soon powered her way past the rest of the ladies to win a coveted gold medal.  Complete with long eye-lashes and her beautiful, Animate smile, she was in tears as she hugged her competitors one by one at the end.

“Crossing the line, I was in disbelief … immense pride and happiness,” she said afterwards.  “I have never experienced anything like this.  This is the happiest moment of my life.”

It’s interesting to remember that Gabby majored in neural biology and global health at Harvard.  Lest anyone think the #1 FEAR is more brawn than brains, Gabby has proven otherwise (although we can see that she eventually excelled in “brawn” to be the world’s best!).

Congratulations, Gabby!
