We haven’t touched on baseball for a little while now, so we thought we would write a quick blurb on Atlanta Braves sensation, Ronald Acuna Jr. Can anyone guess his inborn Brain Type? Ronald is a big hitter with a big smile, not to mention a big swing. Yes, Acuna is a #1 FEAR. Unfortunately for the Braves, it looks like Acuna won’t be healthy enough to start the 2025 season, as he still recovers from left knee surgery to repair a torn ACL he sustained on May 26 in Pittsburgh. He was limited to just 49 games last season after leading the Majors in hits (217), runs (149), stolen bases (73).
Earlier in September, Acuna smacked a 454-foot drive to center field that came off his bat like a rocket at an astounding 121.2 mph, the hardest-hit ball in the majors that season. “I never imagined that was going to be the exit velocity on it,” Acuna said. “But yeah, I hit it hard.” Former major league hitter Sean Casey (#13 FCIR), a friend of Jon Niednagel and familiar with Brain Typing, has compared Acuna’s batting style to Roberto Clemente (#9 FCAR).
Born in Venezuela, Acuna grew into a skinny teenager, yet was still able to sign with the Braves at age 16 for $100,000 in 2014. After playing in the minors for a few years, he made his Major League debut in 2018, where he became the youngest player to homer in five consecutive games. A funny story is told that when they informed Ronald that he broke Mickey Mantle‘s (#5 FEIR) record for the youngest player to hit a postseason grandslam in the playoffs, he replied that he had never heard of Mickey Mantle. “I wasn’t even born,” Acuna said (typical simple #1 fashion).
Once he’s healthy again, be on the lookout for more magic from Ronald Acuna Jr. Barring unforeseen injuries (or off-field antics), he should have quite the stellar career.
