Another year, another injury for Tiger Woods (#10 BCAR).  A few weeks ago it was announced that the golf superstar ruptured his left Achilles while training last week.  He has since undergone a successful procedure to repair the tendon, but he will miss this years Masters Tournament, with the rest of the year looking quite uncertain.  Another athlete who ruptured his tendon was Kobe Bryant (#2 BEAR) in 2013.  Kobe was able to return to the NBA eight months later, but he never returned to his previous form.  He was also several years younger than Woods, who is now 49 years-of-age.  Lastly, if anyone remembers, Kevin Durant (#1 FEAR) suffered an Achilles rupture during the 2019 NBA Finals, and went on to miss the entire 2019-20 season.

Interestingly, Woods is said to be dating Donald Trump’s (#15 FCIL) former daughter-in-law, Vanessa Trump.  After being married to #9 FCAR Elin Nordegran for 6 years, Tiger later dated skier Lindsay Vonn (#13 FCIR), and then Erica Herman.  Yes, over the years, Tiger has not been lucky with love, as he still appears to be searching for his soulmate.  To be sure, #10 BCARs can be strange ducks when their lives become too self-focused.  Pop star Michael Jackson (#10), of course, was a prime example of this, building literal walls around himself in the form of Neverland.  BCARs flee unpleasant reality, which is why their nickname is the “Idealist”.  Namely, when matters are not “ideal”, they easily become discouraged, distressed, and even lash out against those who may wish to help them.

At any rate, who knows if we’ll see Tiger Woods playing near his true-form ever again.  Likely not, but he’s had a good run, and made many a #10 BCAR around the world proud!
