In a bit of entertainment news, actress Jane Fonda (#15 FCIL) was a bit miffed the other day at the 2026 Academy Awards when she overlooked as frontrunner to a special Robert Redford (#11 FCAL) tribute, where Barbra Streisand (#13 FCIR) took the spotlight instead. “I want to know how come Streisand was up there doing that for Redford,” she asked, going on to state that Streisand “only made one movie with him, I made four … I have more to say.” Although she kept a playful tone, one could tell the fiery #15 wasn’t all smiles inside. In their later years, Redford and Fonda discussed and shared art with each other. Of course, Redford was a well-known lefty, which no-doubt contributed to several of his Right-brain tendencies. The left side of the body is controlled by the Right hemisphere brain, causing a left-handed person to access the right more readily. Robert earlier in his life aspired to be an artist (selling side-walk sketches), and struggled with depression for years.
Widely expected to win an Academy was rising sensation Timothee Chalamet (#13 FCIR). However, comments made just a couple weeks earlier where he stated, “I don’t want to be working in ballet or opera or, you know … no one cares about this anymore,” likely costed him the award. In Hollywood, watch what you say, lest you offend any single people group, including opera singers!
Or, don’t go charging stages and slapping hosts, ala Will Smith (#13 FCIR) did last year.
Lastly, in other news, Kelly Clarkson (#1 FEAR) will be is ending The Kelly Clarkson Show after seven seasons to prioritize her family and children. She suffered a widely publicized divorce in 2020 that legally extended for years. The #1 certainly has had a talent over the years for getting guests on her show to feel relaxed and comfortable and able to open up for large TV audiences, much like fellow #1 Jenna Bush, who currently co-hosts the Today show on NBC.
And that’s a bit of entertainment news from the Insider.
