Yes, we’ve written extensively of the man Michael Jackson over the last 3-4 decades, and now that the recent movie, “Michael” has been released, detailing his life and personality through the personage of his nephew, Jaafar Jackson, we thought we would briefly touch upon the “King of Pop” once again.
What made Michael Jackson, well, Michael Jackson, wasn’t his domineering father, Joe Jackson (#13 FCIR), or his mother, Katherine Jackson (#3 FEAL), or necessarily Michael’s incredibly hard work (though it sure helped!), but it fundamentally was his inborn Brain Type. The word “different” can be heard everywhere. Michael was different. But no one goes much deeper that. Why was Michael different? Why weren’t his brothers as talented as he was, given they had the same exact training from the same exact father? Answer: Because Michael was a #10 BCAR.
We have found NO ONE in the history of music entertainment with MJ’s design. Not one. In golf? Sure. Tiger Woods. In baseball? Sure, Derek Jeter. In basketball? Sure, Julius Erving, and Grant Hill. We’ve even found one actor (who recently passed), Richard Chamberlain. But in music? Not one. Granted, #10s can be extremely musical, but to get up in front of crowds and perform? Not their natural inclination, which is what made Michael so special. Only starting at a young age could Michael have achieved this, and with such a strict father. Michael’s life is tragic, and his childhood tragic, which the movie well-captures, but to achieve what he achieved only could have BEEN achieved through his life of hard-knocks.
The movie captured Michael’s #10 design near perfectly. The way he spoke, the way he frequently looked down, the way he engaged his overpowering father … all were spot on (and difficult to watch). The film has found huge success with audiences not solely due to the entertaining dance scenes, but because people are finding the movie to be endearing. It well-portrays the unique difficulty Michael experienced as a #10 in a ruthless business, and in a ruthless world.
We can easily say there will never be an entertainer like Michael Jackson again. The llamas, giraffes, etc. His nurture was not only truly unique (Gary, Indiana, during the 1960s), but also his nature. As the oft-cliche saying goes, he was just “born different”.
