She made the announcement over a week ago, but the way she did it was only too Type-appropriate. We’re talking about singer Kelly Clarkson, who in recent years has taken a bit of heat for taking on a bit of weight. As we reported her saying a few months ago, “I’ve just never cared what people think. It’s more if I’m happy and I’m confident and feeling good, that’s always been my thing. And more so now, since having a family I don’t seek out any other acceptance.
Well, her family is now growing bigger, and she announced the big news to the world in a state of big emotion. During a performance nearly two weeks ago, Clarkson “became emotional” during one particular song about the star’s relationship with her father, where she then started doting on her husband, Brandon. “Not everybody is born with a great dad or a great role model. I married such a great lover, she said. Then came the news. “I was totally not planning on announcing this, but I’m totally pregnant,” adding, I’m having a really hard time.
A hard time doing what? Performing, actually. I just don’t want you to think I’m on pills or drunk or something.
What’s even more humorous was when she apologized to her husband. I’d like to apologize to my husband. That was not planned. I just didn’t want you to think I was crazy or anything. I’m just so hormonal today I haven’t vomited yet. That is a freakin win. Wait, did her husband not even know? Sure sounds like it!
Leave it to the #1 to get so caught up in the moment. As a side note, the #1 FEAR isn’t as innately gifted in the diaphragm region as the #13 FCIR, causing #1 vocalists to rely heavily on their gross motor abs. Depending upon an FEAR‘s formal voice training (or lack thereof) where diaphragmatic singing is stressed he or she will sing in a wide range of musical nuances but rarely with the refinement of an equally trained #13 the supreme voice in terms of sophisticated potential.
