Jealousy and anger take on many forms, and when a #10 BCAR is involved, watch out. Think of Moses throwing down the two tablets inscribed with the 10 Commandments, or again him killing the Egyptian when he saw his fellow Hebrew being beaten. Well, the NBA’s Matt Barnes is another #10 Moses, and when he found out Derek Fisher (#13 FCIR) was “romancing his estranged wife,” he reportedly drove 95 miles to beat the st out of him. Reports go on to say that Barnes became “incensed” when his 6-year-old twin sons called to tell him that Fisher was at the house. Barnes went crazy. He got in his car and went to the house and went after Fisher, one source said.
Though Barnes did confront Fisher, claiming that “kicked his a _ _” in a text to a friend, another source says that Matt came after Derek, but he only had a few scratches. Derek’s not going to press charges; he’s going to let it go. Indeed, often times a #10‘s bark can be louder than their bite, as the dominant Animate “stork” isn’t typically prone to inflict serious bodily harm on others. Not surprisingly, Barnes’ account of the situation is a bit different, and can be read here. “No. I live 15 minutes away,” he said. “And I was going over to check on my kids because they seemed uncomfortable.”
Whatever happened, it was heated, and thus rings true again the Proverb of Solomon: “For jealousy enrages a man, and he will not spare in the day of vengeance.”
